Warner Bros. Unveils Web3 Experience for “The Flash” NFTs as Fans React with Mixed Feelings

Warner Bros.’ NFT unit has introduced a new Web3 experience for their recent DC Comics superhero film, “The Flash,” which received lackluster response at the box office. The Flash Web3 Movie Experience, set to launch on July 18, will feature NFT collections, augmented reality (AR) experiences, behind-the-scenes content access, and the entire film in 4K Ultra HD. This project will be hosted on the Eluvio blockchain, previously used by Warner Bros. for similar web3 experiences centered around Superman and The Lord of the Rings.

The Flash Web3 Movie Experience will be available in two different editions, namely “Mystery” priced at $35 and “Premium” at $100, offering additional benefits and a chance to obtain more desirable NFTs. However, the community reaction on Twitter has been somewhat underwhelming, with users expressing concerns about the treatment of writers and accusing the move of being a mere cash grab.
