This collaboration allows Unstoppable Domains to offer support for .eth domain names from ENS, further solidifying their position as leading platforms for Web3 decentralized domains.
Both Unstoppable Domains and ENS enable users to create human-readable domain names and cryptocurrency wallet addresses within the Web3 ecosystem. These decentralized domains act as profiles, unlocking various functionalities across the Web3 landscape.
Previously, Unstoppable Domains and ENS together accounted for six million domain registrations, with a significant increase in registrations observed since 2022. With this new integration, users can now purchase .eth names through Unstoppable Domains using enhanced payment methods and streamlined management features specifically designed for ENS domains.
Unstoppable offers a user-friendly experience by allowing users to buy .eth domains without the need to connect them to an existing Ethereum wallet. Their Domain vault, a non-custodial service, enables users to secure Web3 domains even if they don’t initially possess a cryptocurrency wallet.
Moreover, Unstoppable’s integration provides an auto-renewal mechanism for .eth domains, eliminating the need for manual renewal on the Ethereum blockchain. This feature prevents the possibility of losing a domain due to expired registration. Additionally, Unstoppable supports multiple payment options, including cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin and twelve others, as well as conventional fiat methods like credit cards, PayPal, Google Pay, and Apple Pay.
Unstoppable is also developing management tools specifically for .eth domains, allowing users to set cryptocurrency addresses, manage on-chain profile data, and transfer their .eth domains seamlessly. However, it’s important to note that .eth domains purchased through Unstoppable will not function with Unstoppable’s existing 800 integrations.
