Binance Shares Registered Office with Thousands of Firms in UK

Binance, one of the world’s largest crypto exchanges, has come under scrutiny for using a small building shared by thousands of other companies as its registered office in the UK. The address, located in the small town of Mildenhall in Suffolk county, is actually owned by a virtual registered address service provider called OfficeServ. Binance Ltd is registered to provide “other service activities not elsewhere classified,” and it operates around six entities across various addresses in the UK. This tactic of using virtual “shell” addresses is commonly used by technology firms for privacy reasons or registering a business in a corporate tax haven. Other well-known companies such as Google, Walmart, Coca-Cola, and Apple have also used similar tactics in the US by registering their businesses with the Corporation Trust Company, the world’s largest registered agent service firm.
